Strategic Executive Assistant

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company is looking for a Strategic Executive Assistant to partner with their President. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, analytical, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Strategic Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. This a long-term, direct hire role with our client located in Portland, Oregon.

  • Track and provide analytical reports on the development of strategic initiatives, financial performance etc. to the President
  • Carry out specific management projects independently
  • Develop and communicate strategic roadmap, corporate strategies, and business strategies
  • Communicates directly, and on behalf of the President to company leadership, SMEs and others on matters related to executive programmatic initiatives
  • Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the President and external contacts
  • Works closely and effectively with the President to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities and following up appropriately
  • Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadlines
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master’s Degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of related executive support experience required
  • Strong analytic skills required
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft office required
  • Knowledge of Adobe or other similar design software preferred
  • Experience with ERP software preferred
  • Excels in advanced thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels
